Infrastructure

Jaipur's urban infrastructure has seen massive upgrades through the national Smart Cities Mission. The primary source of the city's drinking water is the Bisalpur Dam, supplemented by local groundwater extraction. Electricity is supplied and managed by the Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL), with an increasing push toward rooftop solar integration in residential and government buildings.

Telecommunications infrastructure is robust, with widespread availability of 5G and high-speed fiber broadband provided by all major Indian telecom operators (Jio, Airtel, BSNL). The city features a modernized, centralized waste management system and has recently overhauled its stormwater drainage and sewage networks, notably through the Dravyavati River Rejuvenation project.
