The topography of Wokha is dominated by undulating hills, steep ridges, and deep valleys. The town itself is perched on a highly elevated ridge system. The most prominent topographical feature overlooking the town is Mount Tiyi, which peaks at an elevation of approximately 1,969 meters (6,460 ft).
The terrain descends sharply into the surrounding river valleys, most notably the Doyang River basin, creating a dramatic landscape of steep inclines and terraced slopes. The lower elevations near the Assam border transition into foothill plains and floodplains, though the town of Wokha remains firmly nestled in the high-altitude mountainous zone.
