Phek's topography is entirely mountainous, with elevations ranging drastically from deep river valleys to high peaks. The town of Phek itself sits perched at an altitude of approximately 1,524 meters (5,000 feet) above sea level, requiring winding, terraced layouts for roads and buildings.
The highest point in the immediate vicinity is Kapamodzu Peak, which stands at nearly 2,620 meters, offering sweeping views of the surrounding valleys and neighboring mountains. Another prominent topographic feature is the Zanibu range. The steep hillsides are heavily terraced by local farmers, creating a stepped, contour-altering topography that beautifully blends human ingenuity with the steep natural terrain.
