Infrastructure in Mon is developing but remains basic compared to larger Indian cities.
Electricity is supplied by the Department of Power Nagaland, though the town frequently experiences load shedding and power cuts, especially during storms. Water supply is managed by the Public Health Engineering Department, heavily supplemented by natural mountain springs and widespread rainwater harvesting. Telecommunications are provided by major national carriers (Jio, Airtel, BSNL). While mobile voice connectivity is generally stable, 4G internet data can be intermittent, and fixed-line broadband penetration remains low.
