While the town itself is commercial, its economy relies heavily on the agricultural output of the surrounding rural villages. The main bazaar in Saiha serves as a central trading hub where farmers sell fresh produce, and merchants deal in household goods, textiles, and construction materials. The cost of living is generally affordable, though the transportation of manufactured goods from outside the state can inflate the prices of certain commodities.
