Weather & climate

Khawzawl enjoys a temperate and pleasant climate year-round, shielded from the extreme heat of the Indian plains by its elevation.

* **Summer (March to May):** Mild and comfortable, with temperatures typically ranging between 18°C and 28°C (64°F to 82°F). * **Monsoon (June to September):** Receives heavy and sustained rainfall from the southwest monsoon. The town is enveloped in mist and lush greenery during this period, though it is also susceptible to landslides. * **Winter (November to February):** Cool and dry, with temperatures dropping to between 10°C and 20°C (50°F to 68°F). Frost is exceptionally rare, and snowfall does not occur.

The best time to visit is from October to March, when the weather is clear, dry, and cool. Natural disasters primarily include seasonal landslides during peak monsoon months.
