Football is by far the most popular sport in Khawzawl, played by youths in neighborhood streets and formally in local community grounds. The town regularly hosts inter-village and inter-school football tournaments. Volleyball and badminton are also widely played. The local community playground serves as the primary venue for sports, athletics, and large public gatherings.
