Infrastructure

Tura's infrastructure has seen steady improvement but faces challenges due to its remote location, hilly terrain, and heavy monsoon rains. Electricity is supplied by the Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL). Water supply is managed by the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), drawing primarily from the Ganol River watershed and catchments near Tura Peak; however, dry winter months can sometimes lead to localized water scarcity.

Telecommunications are well-established, with all major Indian cellular providers (Jio, Airtel, BSNL) offering 4G services. Broadband internet and optical fiber connections are expanding rapidly, particularly in commercial and educational zones, bringing Tura in line with national digital connectivity standards.
