Topography

The topography of Nongstoin is classic hill-station terrain. Situated at an elevation of approximately 1,409 meters (4,623 feet) above sea level, the town itself is built across a series of rolling hills and ridges. The elevation provides panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. The terrain features steep inclines, terraced slopes, and deep river valleys carved over millennia by the region's high rainfall and swift-flowing mountain streams.
