Neighborhoods

Kavaratti is not divided into large, distinct neighborhoods in a metropolitan sense. Instead, the island is organized into administrative blocks, electoral wards, and informal zones: - **Administrative Enclave**: Located primarily in the northern and central parts of the island, housing the Secretariat, government guest houses, and official residences. - **Residential Wards**: Clustered densely in the central and southern portions of the island, featuring narrow lanes, ancestral homes, and local mosques. - **Port and Jetty Area**: The eastern beachfront where the passenger terminal, cargo offloading facilities, and desalination plants are situated.
