Healthcare infrastructure on Kadmat Island is primarily designed to handle basic medical needs, general wellness, and first aid. The island is served by a government-run Community Health Center (CHC) and primary care clinics which provide routine check-ups, maternal care, and immunizations. For specialized treatments, surgeries, or major medical emergencies, patients are typically stabilized and airlifted via helicopter or transported by ship to the Indira Gandhi Hospital in Kavaratti or to multi-specialty hospitals on the mainland in Kochi, Kerala. Pharmacies are typically attached to the local health centers.
