Weather & climate

Amini experiences a tropical monsoon climate (Köppen climate classification *Am*). Because of its oceanic location, temperatures remain relatively consistent year-round, typically ranging between 25°C and 32°C (77°F to 90°F).

The island receives substantial rainfall from the Southwest Monsoon, which generally lasts from late May through October. During this period, heavy winds and rain make sea travel difficult. Humidity is typically high, often hovering around 70% to 80%. The best time to visit the island is during the drier, calmer months from October to March. Being low-lying, Amini is vulnerable to tropical cyclones and coastal erosion.
