Agatti experiences a tropical monsoon climate, classified as *Am* under the Köppen climate classification system. The weather remains warm and highly humid year-round, with average temperatures hovering between 25°C (77°F) and 35°C (95°F).
The island receives significant rainfall during the Southwest Monsoon, which typically lasts from late May through September, often bringing strong winds and rough seas that can disrupt transportation to and from the mainland. The post-monsoon period transitions into a relatively drier and more pleasant climate. The best time to visit Agatti is from October to March, when the weather is calm, skies are clear, and the sea is ideal for navigation and water sports. Due to its location, it is occasionally exposed to cyclonic storms forming in the Arabian Sea.
