* **Electricity:** Historically reliant on diesel generators, Korzok village is increasingly transitioning to solar power. The Ladakh Renewable Energy Development Agency (LREDA) has installed solar micro-grids, though power cuts and rationing are still common, especially during the harsh winters. * **Water:** Water is sourced from natural glacial streams and springs. The water of Tso Moriri itself is brackish and not suitable for human consumption. In winter, locals rely on melting ice and snow. * **Gas/Heating:** There is no piped gas network. Locals rely on LPG cylinders brought in from Leh, as well as traditional fuel sources like yak dung (argal) and kerosene for heating and cooking during the sub-zero winters. * **Waste Management:** Waste management is a critical challenge due to the influx of tourists and the lack of industrial recycling facilities. Local NGOs and the village council organize periodic clean-up drives, and tourists are strictly advised to carry all non-biodegradable waste back to Leh. * **Telecommunications:** Connectivity is extremely limited. BSNL operates a mobile tower in Korzok, but signals are often weak, intermittent, or absent. There is currently no reliable broadband internet access.
