The local economy is driven entirely by two sectors: pastoral agriculture and eco-tourism. The indigenous Changpa nomads rear Changthangi (Pashmina) goats, contributing to the region's high-value Pashmina wool supply chain. Tourism has spurred the growth of seasonal tented camps, homestays, and small guest houses in and around Korzok. There are no corporate headquarters, large commercial districts, or conventional retail centers.
