Mysuru is well-connected by road, rail, and air. The recently completed 10-lane Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway has drastically reduced travel time between the two cities to under two hours.
Public transit within the city is highly efficient, managed by the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). It operates a robust fleet of city buses, including air-conditioned Volvo services. Mysuru Junction is a major railway hub, offering daily express and superfast trains (including the Vande Bharat Express) to Bengaluru, Chennai, and other major Indian cities. The city is served by the Mysuru Airport (Mandakalli Airport), which offers domestic flights to major hubs. Furthermore, Mysuru was one of the first cities in India to introduce a Public Bicycle Sharing (PBS) system, known as 'Trin Trin', supported by dedicated cycling lanes.
