Agriculture

The fertile plains of the Swan River valley make the Una region an agricultural stronghold. Unlike the terrace farming required in higher altitudes, Una allows for large-scale, traditional agriculture similar to the plains of Punjab.

The primary crops include wheat, maize, paddy (rice), and sugarcane. Vegetables and pulses are also cultivated extensively. In recent years, there has been a growing emphasis on horticulture, organic farming, and floriculture, supported by state agricultural initiatives. Livestock rearing and dairy farming provide supplementary income for many rural households surrounding the city.
