Weather & climate

Kasol experiences a sub-tropical highland climate, heavily influenced by its elevation.

Summers (March to June) are highly pleasant, with average temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F). This is widely considered the best time to visit. Winters (November to February) are notably cold, with temperatures frequently dropping between 0°C and 10°C (32°F to 50°F), and occasional snowfall, particularly in late December and January.

The region experiences a vigorous monsoon season from July to early September. Heavy rainfall during this time increases the risk of natural disasters, specifically landslides, road washouts, and flash floods along the Parvati River. Trekking is generally discouraged during peak monsoon.
