Infrastructure

Infrastructure in Kasol is basic and sometimes struggles to keep pace with the massive tourist footprint.

Electricity is provided by the state grid but is subject to occasional outages, particularly during winter storms or heavy monsoons. Water is primarily sourced from mountain springs and the river, piped directly to homes and businesses. Cellular connectivity has vastly improved, with reliable 4G networks from Jio, Airtel, and BSNL available in the main village, though signals drop sharply on trekking routes. Broadband internet and Wi-Fi are widely available in cafes and hotels, though speeds can fluctuate.
