Agriculture

Due to its status as a fully developed, hyper-urban administrative center, commercial agriculture is practically non-existent within the municipal boundaries of New Delhi. The land is entirely reserved for residential, commercial, diplomatic, and government infrastructure.

In the broader National Capital Territory of Delhi, there is minor, localized farming—primarily on the floodplains of the Yamuna River where seasonal vegetables, wheat, and mustard are grown. However, New Delhi itself relies entirely on complex domestic and international supply chains for its food and agricultural needs.
