The housing market in Jagdalpur is evolving from a traditionally horizontal spread of independent homes to more modern urban living spaces.
In the city's older sections, housing consists of older, closely built independent homes and commercial-cum-residential buildings. In newer, expanding areas, there is a noticeable rise in the construction of duplexes, modern single-family homes, and mid-rise apartment complexes or condominiums.
Housing remains relatively affordable compared to tier-1 and tier-2 Indian cities, making homeownership accessible to a large portion of the middle class. The government also actively implements affordable housing schemes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) for economically weaker sections in both urban and peri-urban zones.
