Manimajra is located in the northeastern part of the Union Territory of Chandigarh, directly bordering the city of Panchkula in the neighboring state of Haryana. It sits at the foothills of the Shivalik mountain range, which forms the outermost and lowest hills of the Himalayas.
The physical geography is defined by the flat, fertile plains of the Indo-Gangetic basin transitioning gently into the undulating terrain of the Shivaliks. The Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream that originates in the Shivaliks and feeds the famous Sukhna Lake, flows in the vicinity, influencing the local water table and terrain. The area features a mix of dense urban development interspersed with patches of greenery native to the sub-Himalayan belt.
