* **Majuli-Jorhat Bridge:** A monumental infrastructure project currently under construction. Once completed, this massive bridge will finally connect Majuli to the mainland (Jorhat) by road, revolutionizing healthcare access, economy, and tourism. * **Erosion Mitigation:** The Brahmaputra Board continues to implement anti-erosion projects, using geo-bags and concrete porcupines to divert water flow and protect the island's banks. * **World Heritage Status:** Ongoing efforts are being made by the state government and MCLMA to secure UNESCO World Heritage status for Majuli's unique cultural landscape. * **Eco-Tourism Plans:** The state tourism board is investing in sustainable eco-resorts, improved ferry terminals (Ro-Pax vessels), and upgraded road networks within the island to boost the economy without harming the environment.
