Bongaigaon experiences a humid subtropical climate (Köppen Cwa), typical of the Assam valley. The year is distinctly divided into a hot, humid summer, a heavy monsoon season, and a cool, pleasant winter.
Summer (March to May) brings temperatures ranging from 25°C to 35°C (77°F to 95°F) with high humidity. The monsoon season (June to September) is heavily influenced by the South-West monsoon, delivering torrential rainfall that replenishes the region's agriculture but occasionally leads to localized flooding. Winters (November to February) are highly favorable, with crisp, dry air and temperatures dropping to between 10°C and 20°C (50°F to 68°F). The best time to visit the city is during the winter months when the weather is cool and clear.
