Pasighat’s infrastructure is currently undergoing a major overhaul under the Smart City Mission.
Electricity is primarily supplied by the state grid, supplemented by local micro-hydel projects, though seasonal weather can occasionally disrupt power. Water is sourced from the Siang River and local springs, managed by the state Public Health Engineering Department.
Telecommunications have improved significantly; 4G cellular networks from major providers like Jio, Airtel, and BSNL cover the city, and broadband optical fiber is increasingly available in commercial and administrative zones. Smart City projects include the installation of smart street lighting, solid waste management plants, and the beautification of riverfronts and parks.
