Daporijo is primarily accessible by road. It is connected to the state capital, Itanagar, and other major towns like Ziro and Aalo via National Highway 713, which is part of the Trans-Arunachal Highway network. Shared taxis, sumos, and state transport buses are the lifelines of public transportation, navigating the winding, mountainous roads. Road conditions can vary, especially during the monsoon season when landslides are a frequent hazard.
There is no railway connectivity in Daporijo; the nearest major railheads are located in Assam (such as Silapathar or North Lakhimpur). Daporijo Airport features a small airstrip that is primarily utilized by the Indian Air Force and for state helicopter services (Pawan Hans) for medical emergencies and VIP movement; it does not currently host regular commercial airline flights. Within the town, walking and light motor vehicles are the primary modes of transit.
