Weather & climate

Anini experiences a subtropical highland climate that transitions into a temperate alpine climate at higher elevations. The weather is heavily influenced by the southwest monsoon and the town's high altitude.

Summers (April to June) are generally mild and pleasant, with average temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C. The monsoon season (July to September) brings torrential, unrelenting rainfall, often causing severe landslides and road blockages. Winters (November to March) are bitterly cold, with temperatures frequently dropping below freezing. While Anini town itself sees occasional snowfall, the surrounding hills and mountains remain heavily snow-capped throughout the winter.

The best time to visit is during the post-monsoon and early winter months (October to November) or early spring (March to April), when the skies are clear, the weather is crisp, and the mountain views are unobstructed.
