Reaching and navigating Diglipur requires a blend of road and sea transport. The town is connected to the capital, Port Blair, via the Andaman Trunk Road (NH-4). The journey by road takes approximately 10 to 12 hours and involves crossing creeks via vehicle ferries, passing through the Jarawa tribal reserve (where strict convoy rules apply).
Alternatively, government-operated passenger ferries run between Port Blair and Aerial Bay Jetty, taking about 10-12 hours by sea. Within the town and to nearby tourist spots, private auto-rickshaws, local buses, and rented two-wheelers are the primary modes of transit. Air connectivity is currently restricted; the nearby INS Kohassa in Shibpur is a military airbase, though plans for civilian commercial flights have been proposed to boost tourism.
