Diglipur possesses a unique infrastructural highlight: the Kalpong Hydroelectric Project. Built on the Kalpong River, it is the only hydroelectric dam in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, supplying a significant portion of the town's electricity, supplemented by diesel generator sets.
Water is sourced primarily from the Kalpong river and local reservoirs. Telecommunications and internet connectivity have historically been quite slow and unreliable, but the recent commissioning of the Chennai-Andaman & Nicobar Islands (CANI) undersea optical fiber cable has significantly improved broadband and 4G cellular services (provided mainly by BSNL and Airtel) in the region.
