Located roughly 300 kilometers north of Port Blair by road, Diglipur is situated on the North Andaman Island. The geography is characterized by a mix of dense, evergreen tropical rainforests, extensive mangrove swamps, and a deeply indented coastline offering natural harbors.
A defining geographical feature of Diglipur is the Kalpong River, which is the only perennial river in the entire Andaman and Nicobar archipelago.
