Agriculture in Campbell Bay is primarily horticultural and heavily dependent on the tropical climate. The most significant cash crops are coconuts and areca nuts, which have traditionally provided the main source of private income for the ex-servicemen settler families and the Nicobarese community.
Farmers also cultivate bananas, papayas, and a variety of tropical vegetables for local consumption, though the town still relies on supply ships for staples like rice, wheat, and lentils. Due to the dense forest cover and strict environmental regulations, large-scale commercial farming is non-existent.
Animal husbandry includes poultry and small-scale livestock rearing (pigs and goats), which are culturally significant to the indigenous Nicobarese.
