Dr Kailash Menon

Dr Kailash Menon practised cardiology in Kochi for over four decades. He founded the Menon Trust Free Cardiac Clinic in 1995 — an evening practice that has now treated more than twenty thousand elderly patients who could not afford private care. His nurses remember him as unfailingly patient; his patients remember him as the doctor who wrote his personal mobile number on the discharge sheet. He met his wife Priya in Bangalore in 1979 and married her ten months later, over the mild objection of both families that they hadn't waited long enough.
